Casita de Arrebol is thoughtfully designed for a relaxing retreat to slow down and have a nature-filled experience. The casita is an eco-friendly straw bale constructed home that radiates with simple, natural beauty.  It features heated concrete floors, a bright living space with exposed wood beam ceilings, and multiple outdoor living areas. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the casita works well for a small group of friends, two couples, or small families.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Ratio coffeemaker, Baratza coffee grinder, Fellow water kettle,  Fellow pour-over, Yield french press, Instant Pot, Vitamix blender, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, Aarke water carbonator, and all the pots, pans, and bakeware you may need. We supply guests with Corvus Coffee and an assortment of green and herbal teas. We have also stocked some cooking and baking basics such as spices, olive oil, coconut oil, sugar, flour, vanilla, baking soda, and baking powder (we love to cook and have tried to think of everything you could need).

 
 

Details Matter.

The bedrooms have brand new mattresses with luxurious down mattress toppers and duvets, 100% linen duvet covers, and sheets and beautiful blankets from Beyond Borders Collective. The master bathroom has been stylishly renovated with a gorgeous travertine walk-in shower and handmade vanity with a beautiful stone sink. Bathrooms are stocked with Aveda shampoo and conditioner, custom Abiquiu Soapworks soap, Fig + Yarrow atmosphere mists, Osea shower mists, Supergoop sunscreen, and plush Turkish towels.

The casita is situated on 52 acres between the Rito Encino and the cottonwood-lined Rio Puerco and is about a 10-minute drive to Abiquiu Lake, 20 minutes to Abiquiu, 45 minutes to Ojo Caliente, and just over an hour to Santa Fe or Taos. Countless recreational activities such as hiking, paddling, river rafting, fishing, and mountain biking are all nearby.
