Born of a love for travel, nature, and craft, and inspired by the deep culture, history, and beauty of Northern New Mexico. We wanted to build a space that feels like an invitation to slow down, to rest, and to reconnect with what matters most. Rooted in the landscape, the strawbale design honors natural materials and thoughtful simplicity, while the surrounding 52 acres of open sky and desert light invite stillness and reflection.
Our inspiration came from years of traveling, often with our dogs, in search of places that balance comfort and design with a genuine sense of place. What began as a personal retreat became something larger—a home we could share with others seeking beauty, quiet, and connection.
That vision has since expanded to include Cielo Encantado, our sister property in the Tesuque foothills near Santa Fe, a hilltop hideaway surrounded by piñon, juniper, and sweeping mountain views. Together, these spaces reflect our belief that meaningful travel begins with presence and that thoughtful design, nature, and care can restore the spirit.
We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with local artists and makers whose work fills each space with soul. From commissioned pieces to art created in reflection of their time at the Casita, every detail tells a story—one of intention, craftsmanship, and the enduring magic of the high desert.

Giving is a natural extension of what inspired both Casita de Arrebol and Cielo Encantado — a deep appreciation for this land, its culture, and the people whose hard work and care sustain it.
